Hapkido School YongHapkido Yong is a school where several styles of Hapkido are taught. These are the gentle Hapkido style Myung Hapkido and the hard styles of Sin Moo Hapkido according to Dojunim Ji Han-Jae and the Kwan Nyom style of Master Booth. The knowledge of the coaches in the field of Kyusho Jitsu according to Theo de Gelaen (martial art where acupuncture points are used), Tae-kwondo, Qi-gong and other effective techniques is also used during the training. The emphasis lies not particularly on spectacular shows with high jumps and kicks, (of which the effectiveness for self-defense is small) but to make the art of self-defense so effectively possible. In the future Hapkido "Yong" ambitions are to create a hapkido school of the highest level. Ron van Beukering is the head trainer of Hapkido Yong. Hapkido Yong is founded in 1997. At present it is the only group in the Netherlands, which practice both Sin Moo Hapkido and Kwan Nyom Hapkido. Meanwhile already several international Hapkido-stages have been organized at Hapkido Yong. From June 2004 up to august 2007 R.v.Beukering has been a representative of the Belgian-Dutch Sin Moo Hapkido Ass. in the Netherlands. At present Sin Moo Hapkido in the Netherlands is member of the European Community of Sin Moo Hapkido (ECSH). The President of the ECSH is Grand Master J.Ziegler. |
